Originally built by Charles F. Folger in 1892, the Point Breeze Hotel was purchased in 1936 by his grandson, Gordon M. Folger, who renamed it after himself. In 1997 the Gonnella family bought the Gordon Folger and restored the original name. In 2007, new owners began a major renovation of the hotel.
